1-According to historical sources, the planning of the city Chefchaouen was located in the area known as the enemy of the valley of Chefchaouen It was founded in 1471 by Sharif Abu al-Hasan, known as Ibn Juma to protect the population against the Portuguese and Spanish conquest. From the end of the 15th century, the Andalusians and Moriscos who settled there made it a prosperous city. In 1920, the Spaniards seized Chefchaouen in 1471,

2-The Kasbah is located in the western part of the city, it was taken by Moulay Ali bin Rashid as his leadership headquarters and a military barracks for the jihad against the Portuguese. Architecturally, the Kasbah is surrounded by a wall with ten towers. The interior space of the verge contains a large garden and an ethnographic museum occupying the northwestern part of the Kasbah. It was built towards the end of the 15th century by Ali Al-Rifi, governor of Sultan Moulay Ismail, in the region.
